We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024-25 Seed Fund grants. We received 86 applications requesting $409,050 and voted to raise the funding by $26,120 to fund a total of 13 projects. Tier 1 :: 2 grants awarded = $1,600
Tier 2 :: 7 grants awarded = $20,910
Tier 3 :: 4 grants awarded = $33,610
Total = $56,120

Grant applications have been submitted, and the statistics are in!
We are always so excited to see the amazing Flow Arts projects happening around the country, and it is an honor to be able to fund some of them.
We had 86 applications in tiers 1-3 requesting a total of $409,050, and that does not include the larger community grants.
It will take our volunteer board members a few months to sort through everything and get back to everyone who applied. we know you are anxiously awaiting the results, and appreciate your patience.

Tutorials, workshops, research, etc. ✨🔥✨🔥 Here is an update on one of last year’s grant recipients: The Sonora Flow Jam (by Sonora Flow society) “Our monthly jam has been a huge hit in the community, with the grant we were able to bring in guest instructors that have had a big impact! A few highlights include Several younger participants who have taken up juggling, poi, and flagging with a high level of interest and skill, their parents are absolutely thrilled about their kids new hobby. We’ve also had a whole group of older bellydancers start coming every week. Its amazing to see them play, flow, and have fun with us. Walking around town people have been asking more about it and that they’ve heard how fun it was.” Fund the Flow Arts is a US-based nonprofit established in 2011 to present and promote the Flow Arts. Our mission is to:
* Advance the prop manipulation-based Flow Arts
* Foster local Flow Arts communities
* Cultivate the global community of Flow Arts practitioners. Tutorials, workshops, research, etc. ✨🔥✨🔥 Here is an update on one of last year’s grant recipients: Winter Workshop Series + Prop Library “We have successfully purchased 85% of the props for our prop library and debuted them at our first annual flow retreat - Equinox Flow Fest held on Sept 20th. The props were utilized by dozens of participants at over 20 workshops, and during our open fire jam at night. Tutorials, workshops, research, etc. ✨🔥✨🔥 Here is an update on one of last year’s grant recipients: Tahoe Flow Arts “Our project included acquiring Flow Toys for our studio as well as a storage option for our Flow toys. The response was overwhelmingly positive! Our Flow toys have been used for community classes (The Boys Scouts requested a Flow Class for a meeting!), we brought Flow JOY to the Tahoe Joy Festival- introducing SO many little kids and adults to Flow props and we integrate into our classes. At the Tahoe Joy Festival- One elderly man stood and watched for a while; I offered him a veil fan, which he waved around for several minutes, handed back to me and said ‘Thank you, that felt really good.’ My heart beamed at that statement! Our studio has a history of integrating Flow props into Aerial & fitness classes- silk veil fans are a great shoulder warmup and hula hopping is a fabulous fitness routine! So, having more props to choose from is such a boost to our members! Our studio puts on Circus Camps for ages 4-14 over the summers, serving about 100 campers. Our new hula hoops, silk veil fans and angel poi were integrated into daily activities as well as performance peices for each group. Watching what these young people came up with in THEIR Flow was remarkable and so much fun! Tutorials, workshops, research, etc. ✨🔥✨🔥 Here is an update on one of last year’s grant recipients: Lebanon Flow Arts “Some of the main highlights from Lebanon Flow Arts 2024 season would have to be the continued communal sharing we facilitate at flow night. Whether it is props, food, toys, knick knacks, knowledge or stories, everyone is welcome to partake and share. As ‘event organizers’… We like to think about the snowball affect or buttery fly affect we might be having on some of these children, young adults, and even mature adults. I know we are having a positive impact on their lives and summers, they are being exposed to community building as well as being apart of that small community.… Our small rural town doesn’t have many events or as many opportunities to be exposed to the sounds or movements we host at flow night. I think it is good for these more rural/removed from big city people to be exposed to this or for some people to have a place they feel like they belong. And regardless of the demographic, flow arts and prop manipulation exercises both sides of your brain, it works that one side of your brain you might be neglecting through your daily grind.
