Celebrating its sixth year in San Francisco, The Flow Show SF is an innovative showcase of object manipulation that will change your idea of movement. Sometimes known as “spinning”, this group of movement disciplines all share one common trait: the manipulation of a “prop” or object. This year’s cast includes flow artists exploring artistic themes with poi, hoop, staff, buugeng, ball, and other props, all in the intimacy of a dance theater setting. Combining elements of dance, circus, and theater, with mind-blowing dexterity, timing, and expression, this groundbreaking show will take you on a creative journey through flow.

The Flow Show NYC: Circus and Dance Collide in Brooklyn Show December 21st-23rd

Drawing incredible talent from the across the country, The Flow Show is now coming to New York City for it’s east coast debut! Just as the showcase has in the past, The Flow Show NYC comes to give another deep, connecting look at the psyche, movement, and honed talent of hula hoopers, fan, contact staff, and poi spinners, contact jugglers, buugeng artists, and more. Blurring the line between modern dance and circus arts, the show known for stripping back previously conceived notions on object manipulation will turn the audience’s eye to character driven, beautifully spun stories formed in movement.

Running for three nights, the Flow Show has tickets available online and in cash at the door.

Thank you for your support!

The Flow Show 4 sold out its 3-day run at Dance Mission and we couldn’t be more pleased.  The audiences were lively and supportive, and the artistry has only increased, if we do say so ourselves.

Here’s a little highlights reel showing some of the behind-the-scenes process as well as show footage.  We hope to have clips of the performances soon.  Keep an eye on this space for the call for artists for the Flow Show 5 in 2013! We will put out the call in the fall.
